The industrial revolution started around 1800 when we started using machines to produce materials. This revolution als made it possible to study evolution. The peppered moth was once a light colored moth. But when the industral revolution kicked off, polution in the air made it necessary for the moth to change it’s color to a more darker shade. With it’s new camouflage the moth was able to adapt to new circumstances. It’sa bit of a miracle I still remembered this fun fact from way back in School.
